Cuomo’s son Cuomo: Mets will be allowed to have 8000 fans at games

Former New York Governor Cuomo’s son Andrew (also a governor although he claims not to be part of the political machine) took time from battling sexual harassment claims to announce

“We’re going to play ball, and we’re going to play ball with a crowd,”

Pro sports in large outdoor stadiums – Citi Field for example – can have 20% capacity.  For the Mets that means around 8,000 fans.

The 1979 Mets asked what they should do with unsold tickets.

But hilarious jokes and political commentary aside – the Mets probably sold more than 8000 tickets to games like Opening Day, right?  So what happens now.

No word on how many of the 8000 will be expected to wear leading fan-brand matching t-shirts.
