The NY Post (by the way I am convinced the Post has designed their mobile site to discourage anyone from ever trying to use it) reports
Jeff McNeil posted a photo to his Instagram story showing himself along with Alonso, David Peterson, Drew Smith and Tylor Megill inside a suite at Arthur Ashe Stadium to take in the action. The trip was Alonso’s second time over at the Open.
This is no different than attending a Rangers game. The boys should have been resting, watching game films, and working out. Instead they are posting on social media and goofing off.
I’m getting a little worried Steve is going to give in to the Mainstream Media who are now writing “extend Pete” articles (because they like him because he feeds the beast and talks to them) – and I am going to have to do this blog for another decade plus because Steve refuses to pawn Pete off on some foolish GM….but then again OUR GM is the one who gave Matt Harvey $11M to pitch for Anaheim, not to mention whatever else went on over there.
