Well, in all fairness, the Mets DO have a “take the field” day with a player-to-be-named for their season ticket holders (I know, a friend of mine did it, and I was chosen for it in 2011 as well 😀 )
As for Old Timers Day, Shannon I believe you were at the HOF ceremony, right? Fans had been clamoring for it for a while, and the game wasn’t even friggin sold out. I doubt that anyone would make an Old Timers Game, especially since it would probably be around 12 pm on a Sunday or something. No one will get up that early. Well, maybe you and I would and a select few others…But the majority of folks wouldn’t…I don’t think.
yep…”nobody” showed up on HOF day. Weak.
We all know it would be empty. Anyone hear about any Mets HOF inductees next year ?
Not off the top of my head. We should look at who is in and speculate.
