It’s bothering me every time I hear Howie Rose mention the Sponsorname Broadcast Booth.
Is/Was the Radio booth at Citi Field not named for Bob Murphy?
I know at Shea it was. I know the TV Booth is/was named for Kiner as recently as the Mets Opening Day Kiner Press Release which mentions it.
I understand that the Mets are a business designed to sell us merchandise and get us to buy tickets. I understand that WFAN wants to make money….
…but couldn’t Howie just as easily use the Sponsorname Microphone or fill out a Sponsorname Scorecard or something?
What about Bob? There’s other ways to make a buck and this one is really easily fixable. Don’t diss Bob or I will start floating the Curse of Bob Murphy theory. Dear WFAN salesperson…take a long hard look at this photo. Just sponsor something else.
