“There was some talk I was going to be allowed to be introduced to (the Wilpons’) financial advisor,” says Valentine. “It never came to pass. It wasn’t as though there was this mystical, magical thing. It was, ‘Hey, (Madoff) has done real well. Maybe we’ll give you an opportunity …’ Never happened. Good swing and miss I guess.”
