Hmmm..I didn’t know about this.
From Ceetar’s cool photo gallery….and be sure to visit Optimistic Mets Fan and bombard him with emails ([email protected]) to just join the Mets Police already.
What Mets fans talk about when not talking about the actual games.

tennis balls?
I imagine it’s more about timing inside. Tennis balls are less likely to break things?
I have yet to actually see anybody using this cage, but that’s probably because when you can get in they’re on the field.
I remember reading about it when Citi first opened. I was never able to find it.
“Cash as seen from people who have enough of it”
Sorry, I had to. I was actually able to score great seats just below Gary Keith and Ron in early April for $16 a pop which included access to this (and all) clubs. I got to see that cage as well, though there was no activity in it at the time either.
I think the best part about the club access was that I was able to sit in the patio style high tables behind home plate, and order a shake shack burger to my seat (for only $6.50 [not bad considering!])
Other than that, the weird part is that there is a market-style food set up that truly gives off a vibe that people are clearly much more interested in food than the game.
Oh well, LGM.
yeah, that’s roughly when I took this picture. early april, for ~15 seating in Caesar’s near the booths.
It’s in interesting place, those clubs. They’re all very nice, cool places. Just not for the game. i wouldn’t mind having dinner at the Acela Club..at 5:30 to watch BP, and then go to a real seat.
That would be nice, I’ve always been curious about the dinner situation at the Acela Club… though from what I understand, doesn’t it cost $50 just to sit down beyond the bar area?
it’s somewhat expensive, but it’s partially (or fully?) buffet style too. I wasn’t paying a ton of at tention to the tour I took, but i have a menu somewhere. (shoot, did I basically just suggest a post I could right? am I spamming myself with Write for Metspolice ideas?)
YES, That would make a great Metspolice post. The force is strong in you..Come join us..Join Us…..
*tries to logs in. fails. finishes his own post and has a beer*
D’OH.
As an aside, based on your photos I was there the day prior, and this is the patio I was referring to: https://picasaweb.google.com/OptimisticMetsFan111/April20thAstros#5597881552166755090
The way they are hitting maybe it should stop being empty and be put to good use!
