Good morning. I had fun at Citi Field last night (no blue Los Mets jerseys were available for purchase) and met a few actual readers which is pretty cool.
They actually spotted Media Goon who was sporting his snazzy blue (80’s style) Mets jersey number 25 with the name Mediagoon on it.
I have a nice pinny with the name Mets Police on it, but wasn’t wearing it, opting instead to wear my “1987 Seaver” which is me just being Mets-hipster-ironic.
Anyway, here’s what Larry says about the new place.
“Not the same atmosphere,” said Jones, who named his son after Shea.
“The fans were right there on top of you. It’s a little more laid-back now, the same thing in Atlanta. You can still yell at the fans. But you got to scream a lot louder.”
