I’m fascinated by the ticket office experiences. Derek writes..
Another Mets ticket experience
As you seem to have the Mets’ ear nowadays (great work!) you need to write something about what’s going on with the pack/plan presale.
I went in (yesterday) morning to try to get something similar to my Sat+ plan from 09-11 or possibly upgrade to Prom Box.
All that was available for 15 gamer packs was 402 in box, 510 in infield reserved (the border section, 509 is prom reserved) and 503 in prom reserved. That’s it! No choosing the side of the ballpark (I’ve always prefered 3b side), no getting closer to the beginning of the price zones, nothing!
I’m not interested in the 20 game plans, but the pickings weren’t much better there either.
For all the fan-friendly stuff they’ve done lately, this is an amazing slap in the face. Blue uniforms, black uniforms, pink uniforms I don’t really care much if I can’t buy a ticket where I can see 90% of the outfield.
Interesting. Have you tried calling the ticket rep? I find them very accommodating. I know they’re trying really hard..I bet you heard from a rep these last few weeks, give him/her a call.
Seriously folks – CALL YOUR REP BACK I am 100% confident things will work out for you.
…
Update, I heard back from Derek and..
We finally spoke to the rep. Got a really good upgrade for this year into the prom boxes between home and third base. (we were in the reserves around the same area for 09-11).
After years of bad-to-nonexistant service from ticket reps, it almost comes as a shock. I’ll have to send a thank you note to the rep later on!
yea, as Shannon said, definitely call your rep. I just moved my plan to a 20 game in the promenade box, and while the section they put me in wasn’t ideal, I had a choice of where I wanted to sit from what was available and it’s slightly better than what was offered through the site. According to my rep, I’ll also have the option to move to a different section(prom infield) if after a few games, I decide I don’t like my seats. Also renewed my 40 game plan that I have with a bunch of friends and we were able to move up 10 rows in the metro box.
Now if someone would only let me know where I can buy a customized authentic jersey……..
You can customize an authentic on the MLB Shop. Just checked. Use the link on my site if you don’t mind, helps me out.
Placed an order before but don’t worry, I helped you out. It’s the least could do
I got my seats back in 405. It took all day to get them, But I am glad stuck to my guns all day.
