On September 7, 2012, The New York Stem Cell Foundation (NYSCF) is partnering with the New York Mets to sponsor The New York Stem Cell Foundation Day at Citifield in order to raise awareness aboutstem cell research and raise funds to support NYSCF’s independent research. The New York Stem Cell Foundation is a unique, cutting-edge nonprofit committed to developing better treatments and cures for the majordiseases of our time through stem cell research.
NYSCF Day at Citifield seeks to build awareness of the event and reach their pledge to sell 1,000 tickets. Each ticket costs $35 and 20% of proceeds will go directly to benefit NYSCF’s work in disease areas such as diabetes, ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease), multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, heart disease, cancer, schizophrenia, and bone regeneration.
Not only is this an opportunity to support our very own New York Mets against the Atlanta Braves, but also a chance to help our team of NY scientists further the research that will bring us closer to cures. More information can be found at www.nyscf.org/playball.
