PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — Daniel Murphy feels a “subtle tug” on his right side from an intercostal muscle, so the second baseman is headed to New York on Tuesday to be examined by team doctors. Sandy Alderson said it is “possible” Murphy will receive a cortisone injection during the trip to the Hospital for Special Surgery.
