Howie Rose had the following to say tonight about the Mets uniforms. (I may have one word wrong but this is really close.)
“The Mets are wearing their snow whites tonight, with blue, hey how about that! That after they lost three in a row in those black jerseys.” He said black the way a three year old says yuck when you make him eat spinach.
Keep it coming Howie. If anyone else hears Howie rip the black please let us know.
(UPDATE – in the 6th, Gary Cohen and Keith Hernandez made some sly comments about the absence of pinstripes. )

I couldn’t agree more–I HATE the black uniforms.
I’m also not too crazy about the snow whites either. And it’s not that I’m one of those jerks who doesn’t think anything new can be good, but the pinstripes are the Mets best uniform, no question. They also need to lose the black socks/sleeves and the 2-color batting helmet. Your team colors are blue and orange–wear them.
