Omar Minaya had it right the first time.
This team lacks a Keith Hernandez or Paul O'Neill. They blow games
and seasons and nobody seems particularly mad.
I heart Jerry, but the fire isn't coming from him either. The next
Mets manager should be a s… kicker like Wally Backman.
I don't know who this magical player is or what position he plays, but
Omar had it right and it's his job to find him.
Backing away from the comments is weak. Let the team hate you Omar,
who cares? Maybe that will bring the fire out in someone.
I keep wondeing if Beltran would wave that no-trade. He seems the
most moveable (you shouldn't trade wright or reyes and nobody will
want Delgado). It would break the logjam in the outfield and Beltran
would bring the best value.
That's Omar's job not mine. I'm just angling for the Mets to hire me
as "fan consultant" so I can help them with uniform choices and the
Mets museum.
