Mrs. Met has returned! She appeared at an All Star Food event at Citi Field. I was invited (thank you Mets) but I have this whole job thing.

So I think it’s clear: Mrs. Met is Mr. Met’s mother. An exciting day in the Met family history.
Why is she wearing a black dress??? Shouldn’t she at least have a blue and white striped apron?????
I think the black dress is because she was there more as a team representative and not as a rep for one of the concessionaires. She was dressed — and had a nametag — like the other p.r./front-office types. But one person did tell me that she does have a uniform, so we might see her at games soon. (That’s my wife in the last photo; I wrote a little more here.)
