This email was sent to plan holders today. Is this fun? Is it worth it? I’m kind of not a sleep outside kind of guy so I can’t be the judge. And the pricing for it? Sure I get that there’s an extra game and all involved in September. I guess maybe of you have kids it’s a fun thing to do. Maybe?
Update- Mets Press release
FLUSHING, N.Y., July 24, 2013 – The New York Mets and Metropolitan Hospitality today announced the first-ever “Citi Field Sleepover” presented by Tempur-Pedic, Saturday, August 10 at Citi Field. The 15-hour event will provide fans the opportunity to watch – from the playing field – SNY’s live broadcast of the Mets’ road game against the Arizona Diamondbacks on the Citi Vision board in center field.
Tickets go on sale to the general public tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. at Mets.com/sleepover. A presale to Mets Season Ticket Holders began yesterday. A limited number of 500 tickets will be available for purchase.
In addition to a dinner buffet in FanFest, late night snack in the Modell’s Clubhouse, breakfast, and non-alcohol beverage offerings, attendees will have the opportunity to meet Mr. and Mrs. Met.
Gates for the “Citi Field Sleepover” will open at 5:00 p.m. Fans with sleeping bags can sleep on the grass; those with tents on the warning track.
All fans attending the “Citi Field Sleepover” will receive a ticket to the Mets’ Saturday, September 28 game against the Milwaukee Brewers.
$200? The cyclones did this and it was free.
How many couples will use this opportunity to conceive? I just wish it was a few years ago. I would have done it and named my daughter Shea. (Provided it was a girl)
If I were younger I’d consider this, seems alright.
I would SO do that if I were local.
I wonder if parking is included for the sleepover and Brewers game or if they will hit you up for that also. I am really on the fence about bringing my 8year old son to do this. Hmmmmm
