Of course for the 50th book I had to go with one of the 50th anniversary books. The Amazins: Celebrating 50 Years of New York Mets History is the NY Post’s entry.
Say what you want about the Post, they at least have generally had a good sports section. I expected a good book from them. Sadly, it’s not. When you list out the “stars” of the Mets during the 70’s and 80’s and leave out Dave Kingman, Ray Knight, Jesse Orosco and Lee Mazzilli your book is seriously lacking
