Here’s a pic of the mariachi band taking a well earned break last night at Citi Field.
It’s so so quiet in Mets-land…I notice the newspapers have given up on even covering the team. The NJ Star-Ledger just printed Adam Rubin’s column about the Latin American scouts…and the only recap of the game is one sentence long.
CBS 2 HD spent Tuesday night at Citi Field, just one of the sports facilities on notice.
Tight security was the game plan. Bags were searched and fans were frisked. Counterterrorism officials are now warning that stadiums, entertainment complexes, hotels and transit hubs are all potential terror targets.
As I brought up the other day, I’d rather the stadiums not overdo it on security. Yes i want to be safe, but if it’s going to be annoying to go to games then really who is winning the war on terror?
Anyway back to lightness and fun…here’s Snoopy at last night’s game. Snoopy is one of the more famous Hispanic celebrities, so it made sense to have him at the game. Thanks to Brian Costa at the ledger who posted this on twitter – so for that alone you should follow him.
Nice to see the Mets wear pinstripes and blue hats….there’s just one stupid thing about the outfit…and before you give me a lecture please read this post and look at the Mexican league jerseys of Los Piratas and Los Tigres, neither of whom where the word Los on their jerseys.
