Long-time readers know I travel often and have to leave Media Goon in charge for extended periods. A few years ago MI6 sent me to Anaheim where I took some ballpark photos. I thought this would be more interesting than bringing up Willie Randolph or that Terry used to manage the Angels.
I was surprised by how much I liked Angel Stadium. Before I went there I wondered why everyone wasn’t just a Dodgers fan. Once I understood the geography better (it’s kind of like if the Mets played in middle NJ and you lived in NJ – why would you go to the Bronx?) and went to the park I totally got it. Be an Angels fan.
The park feels “old” but in the good way like Wrigley. It worked just fine and was a cool mix of modern and retro.
