SWOBODA BACK ON TOP OF THE WORLD: The present Mets may have gloomy forecast, but a little rain couldn’t dampen the spirits of 1969 Mets World Series hero Ron Swoboda. In town to celebrate the 40th anniversary of his gem of a catch to rob Brooks Robinson in Game 4, “Rocky” stood tall high atop the legendary 86th floor observation deck of the world famous Empire State Building today.
