I was beginning to worry we might never hear from him again. It had been days.

What Mets fans talk about when not talking about the actual games.

.STLMetsFan5 Wheeler was way cool when I met him. I have never met Matt Harvey.
metspolice Wheeler sounds like a guy you can go have a beer with. Harvey sounds like a guy we can go have quinoa with. I’ll take Zack.
metspolice STLMetsFan5 Harvey just of a nice guy just comes off snobbish being from CT, vs humble folks from georgia
PromenadeView metspolice I know plenty of humble folks from Connecticut. Matt Harvey just isn’t one of them.
metspolice STLMetsFan5 I met Matt Harvey at a 9/11 event for the Families. He was pretty cool.
STLMetsFan5 metspolice must be north east or northwest ct area not the affluent part
“jerrydelpriore: metspolice STLMetsFan5 I met Matt Harvey at a 9/11 event for the Families. He was pretty cool.” Cool!
PromenadeView metspolice I choose not to paint everyone with the same brush. I know people in that area that fall in both categories.
STLMetsFan5 metspolice and not saying Harvey is snobbish just that he can come off that way being from where he come from
.jerrydelpriore STLMetsFan5 He either needs to go Full Namath, or if he wants to “be Jeter” then lay low. The middle ain’t working 4 him
metspolice jerrydelpriore STLMetsFan5 if he is pitching to his potential who cares how he acts off the field
metspolice STLMetsFan5 He’ll learn. They are pitching deep, but you can never be deep enough!!!!!
metspolice jerrydelpriore STLMetsFan5 this is a fan base that still worships crack and coke heads from the 80s,
metspolice STLMetsFan5 I also met David Wright and Jon Niese, both of whom are great guys!!!!!
PromenadeView metspolice jerrydelpriore Those “coke heads” (as you put it) won a World Series. Harvey has won 12 games.
STLMetsFan5 metspolice jerrydelpriore exactly winning cures amy ill will off the field, just sucks he isn’t allowed to pitch yet
jerrydelpriore metspolice I meant Granderson a couple weeks ago in St. Louis. Signed a gazillion balls for the kids.
PromenadeView STLMetsFan5 metspolice Well, it’s for his own good, right?
PromenadeView metspolice STLMetsFan5 To me, they were great, but should’ve won at least another WS!!
.jerrydelpriore PromenadeView STLMetsFan5 that they didn’t shows when you think you have a shot go for it. u might wait 25 years.
metspolice They should have won in 88, but Dodgers.Wilpons probably watch highlights and smile jerrydelpriore PromenadeView STLMetsFan5
metspolice jerrydelpriore STLMetsFan5 Although for you 33 haters I suppose a 9/11 event wouldn’t be the place to be a complete butthead.
I have no problem with the fact that he’s clashed with management over wanting to get back on the mound and pitch. I think it shows his drive to get healthy.
That said, I’m glad the kid is listening, and doing what the medical people are telling him, so he won’t get back on the mound too soon and have his arm fall off.
