The New York Mets Big Off-Season Acquisition Might Be…Mike Cameron?

So here’s what I’m reading….

The Mets fear John Lackey because of arm issues.  Lackey made 27 starts in 2009.   Santana made 25.  Lackey will make a great third starter for the Yankees.  Perhaps the Mets can sign whoever the Japanese John Lackey is…or explain to us that someone is an inexpensive version of Lackey.

The Daily News says that Jason Bay is too expensive and that the Mets may sign Mike Cameron.   (The Mets are loading themselves up to win the 2001 (no typo) World Series.

There’s talk of a three way trade that finally rids us of Luis Castillo (good analysis on SNY last night that he will never be loved here) and bring NY Lyle Overbay.

I hope Omar is calling San Diego 4 times a day about Gonzales.  I hope Omar is calling Toronto 4 times a day about Halladay.  As for Holliday, he doesn’t want to play in NY so stay far away.

Mike Cameron.  The Magic is Back.  Baseball Like It Oughta Be.  Your Season Has Come.
