Yankees vs. Mets Deliver Big Ratings and Demos
NEW YORK, April 27, 2015 – PIX11, Tribune Broadcasting’s New York flagship station, hit a ratings home run with this weekend’s airing of Game 1 and 2 of the Mets vs. Yankees Subway Series.
Game 1, which aired on PIX11 on Friday, April 24, (New York Mets broadcast) averaged a 4.0 in HH (7-10p) the highest rated Mets game since July 22, 2012, with PIX11 ranking #2 in Prime.
The game also scored in all key demos:
· A25-54 (2.0) – PIX11’s highest rated Mets game since Fri 7/1/11 (Mets Broadcast of Subway series on PIX11)
· M25-54 (2.8) – PIX11’s highest rated Mets game since Thu 5/30/13 (Mets Broadcast of Subway series on PIX11)
· P2+ (362,263 total viewers) – also PIX11’s highest rated Mets game since Fri 6/22/12
Friday night’s broadcast of the Subway Series was up in HH (+471%), A25-54 (+400%) and M25-54 (+250%) as compared to the Friday 7-10pm time period’s season-to-date* average.
Game 2 of the Subway Series, which aired on 4-7pm on PIX11 on Saturday, April 25, (New York Yankees broadcast) was #1 in the time period across all key demos:
· HH Rtg (4.2)
· A25-54 (2.5)
· M25-54 (3.4)
Saturday’s broadcast of the Subway Series was up in HH (+740%), A25-54 (+733%) and M25-54 (+800%) as compared to the Saturday 4-7pm time period’s season-to-date* average.
This game was the highest rated Saturday 4pm baseball game on PIX11 since 2005 (6/25) in the HH, A25-54 and M25-54 demo.
