In this morning’s Morning Briefing, Adam Rubin mentions that the Mets are expected to open 2016 at Kansas City.
Oooooh, weird.
I’ve been there once and found it a charming stadium. KC is about 6 blocks wide and I think we’ll all be bored in half an hour (hopefully some Royals blogger finds this and starts a war with me), but I think we should go. By we I mean the t-shirt entrepreneur and the army.
The Royals do have a fantastic museum. As much as I enjoy the Citi Field version, the Royals are brining it and another level.
Opening the season with interleague play is unnatural and a sin against baseball, but at least it’s not a 5am game in Japan. Oh man if I had the blog back then….
