As you may know, I am obsessed with MLB Rule 3.03(b) which calls for ALL players on a team to wear matching undershirts.
Now while Cespedes often wears colorful compression sleeves, I have not noticed any rules about the colors of sleeves, thus I believe neon to be fine.
However, the rule is clear on undershirts, although not enforced (some players wear non-matching orange undershirts when their teammates wear blue).
Anyway, this screen grab appears to show a long sleeved undershirt, although I guess it is possible that it is two compression sleeves. If it is an undershirt, it does not match the shade of blue that most of the rest of the team is wearing (with one dude wearing orange.)
Why does this matter? Because I am told the world will end if someone wears a non-matching cap on the 11th of September. Apparently MLB doesn’t care about their own rulebook.
Also of note, the current version of the rulebook shows Sandy Alderson as the Chair. Read for yourself!
