Mets World Series Game 1 Thoughts

Wow. Some long ass game there last night. In my mind and I could be wrong Cespedes should have backed off that ball and let Conforto play it. I know the Centerfielder has the “right of way” but when you know you can’t get to it, you should let the other fielder play it.

Familia. He was due to get scored on in the playoffs. It sucks that it was with two outs away from the win, but the law of averages indicated he was due.

The Loss. The Mets won five games straight in the playoffs. Again I refer to the law of averages.

You know what this means? The Mets got both those things out of the way now. You have the Mets Ace, Jacob deGrom on the mound tonight. You know he is going to be locked in. You know the Mets want revenge for that loss. You know that the Mets are going to play their hearts out. Duda is due to go on a tear. You might not see another HR out of Murphy but his bat is still hot. I call Wright Captain Unclutch. Most of the time I’m joking about that, sometimes I’m not.

You know what though? I have no despair in my heart today. I am not down at all. I am ready for the Mets to win tonight. I am ready for the Mets to come back with a hunger, an anger even. The Mets will make the plays they need to make. deGrom will pitch lights out and shut down the Royals. Mr. Met is going to knock out the Royals mascot. And tonight our World Series playing Mets will WIN this damn game. And at the QBC this year we will be talking about how awesome it feels to be Mets fans!!!

Tickets remain available for Game 3, though the get-in price has skyrocketed to $845, according to TiqIQ.com.  You can also find hotels near Citi Field at Hipmunk.com for less than $100 per night if you’re from out of the area.
