While well discussed here and in other parts, I never ever tire of reading through a history of Mets uniforms, and I thoroughly enjoyed today’s Uni Watch walk through in search of the Mets’ “signature look.”
My quick take:
They got the uniforms right in 1962.
I’d love for a late 70’s road throwback to appear. I have a few of these jerseys in the closet but none fit my fat body. Players were smaller then.
Racing stripes are cool, and Sundays are perfect. Let’s keep that beyond 2016 and add a road Sunday.
I hade to admit it but the road swoosh jerseys (1993) have aged well. I have one or two of these and they actually look good. I hate myself.
