Last night I worked late and jumped in the car. 5-2.
A few thoughts:
I’m ready for the Mets to move to FM. The amount of background noise on AM, especially that pulsing metallic sound, makes the experience unenjoyable. Yes I know about the HD-2 but I don’t have an HD radio and that’s not a mainstream America solution.
My younger self is telling me I should be all excited. Meaningful Games In September! We are living the dream! And yet, I just don’t feel attached. Is it that this is basically a March 15th lineup? It doesn’t feel real.
The Mets and the media seem really exited about Kevin James. Kevin seems nice enough, but what send me over the edge was Howie hyping a promo to listen to Pete McCarthy’s KJ interview? A quick survey on Twitter suggests I might not be wrong about the media’s overexcitement on the KJ front.
Again, I will be watching tonight and every night where I don’t have a conflict, but it feels more like 2012 than 2015.

I was asked on twitter about the podcast. Yes there will be more episodes. I’ve been so so so busy that I haven’t had an hour at all to record. Jason has tried to grab me a few times but I just can’t get loose. I can’t wait to find out what happened with Jon Niese after our last episode!
