Welcome to 100 Random Cool Mets Things. In this series, we kill off the off-season by me randomly bringing something up.
I’m trying to make this series “all over the place” (rejecting an alternate idea where I was going to start in 1977 and do one year at a tie, and I still may do that) – so the series might be a moment, a game, a memory, a uniform, or a person.
Today, we celebrate Adam Rubin. While there have been and are many who cover the Mets, Rubin brought it to the next level; with a work ethic that apparently none match. Adam first really got noticed during the great battle with Omar Minaya, but since the dawn of twitter and the always awesome Morning Briefing, Adam is best in show. We all have our flaws, and Adam’s is that he spoils games making him an unfollow from April to October (I still get his news via the ESPN feed, and note top elf to refollow), but he really is the best. Now if only he could count to ten before tweeting Oh No. Love ya Adam.
