I have decided not to celebrate Metsivus this year

On this eve of Metsivus, I have decided not to do an Airing of Grievances post this year.

I even wrote the post over the weekend, but have decided to Stay Positive and not do an all negative post.

Oh sure there are things to grumble about from start times to prominent twitter spoiler-ers, but overall I didn’t like how the post was reading and decided not to celebrate.   (Perhaps the Mets sent me half a steak sandwich, you’ll never know.)

Instead, let’s celebrate Tom Grieve.   Tom was a Very 1978 Met.  By that I mean he hit .208 with 2 HR and 8 RBI in 110 PAs.  He would leave the Mets as part of what is known as “the Kim Seaman Trade” to St. Louis which brought back Pete Falcone.
