Happy Just Another Day Of The Week – Get A Life People!
Today, a Mets pitcher will throw an inning, maybe two and expect MASSIVE BEAT REPORTER COVERAGE. Mets Police is here to remind you to remain calm, and whatever you do don’t use the Lame Overplayed Phrase involving what day of the week it is. You are better than that. Come up with something original.
Anyway, the Mets Morning Laziness is designed for a Post Rubin era where you need someone to summarize. However, unlike Rubin, I am here to DIS-courage you from reading links because so many of them are lame.
One thing not to read is Robert Gsellman Might Be The 5th Starter. That’s a thing. Don’t read it. I just told you everything.
More articles about Wright. You know the deal.
deGrom felt fine.
Our Sunday back page: @JdeGrom19 is bringing deHeat this spring for the @Mets https://t.co/IAsbAwhVki pic.twitter.com/bUCZxGPKk6

See, that’s all you really need to know about deGrom.
More articles about Syndergaard’s contract. Believe me, Noah isn’t giving the Mets a hometown discount down the road for being nice. Whoever writes the best check gets the player.
And a reminder that Noah is a very nice looking 23-16…and in his third year…so let’s tap the breaks on the Hall of Fame and worrying about his free agent contract. The last guy we did that with is one game over .500
Oh and if you’re going to start an argument with me about the Wins stat, don’t. Take that over to Amazin’ Insider Apple Blog and their 55 writers will be happy to discuss “advanced” stats with you.
Speaking of nonsense, now they have made up Catch Probability. I’m sure Murph is bad at that too while cruising to another division title.

Soccer Thoughts
I went to see the US Women’s National Team play last night. It was the coldest I have ever been at a sporting event. All studios should be domed.
I give Citi Field a hard time for not being able to hold a crowd – well Red Bull Arena with a sold out 26,500 is no picnic either. It was nearly impossible to move at half time, and the bathroom lines were insane before the game, especially with a lot of young girls there to see the USWNT.
However, I love soccer as a product. Two 45 minute halves of non-stop action. I knew that although I was freezing that it would only be for two hours. No 4 hour games. No pitching changes. No endless innings.
