Mets Morning Laziness: Hockey at Citi Field, The Dark Knight has a worse day at baseball than Tebow

Good morning.  The Mets Morning Laziness is your quick third second read to get you caught up without having to look at newspapers and blogs.  If you like it, please share it on Facebook to help it catch on.  One of the guiding principles is to encourage everyone to do better and not hand in crap. One person possibly not getting that message is Mike Lupica.  I mean…talk about Obvious Stuff to fill space.

Thanks for that Mike. We didn’t know. Anyway on to other things…

The Dark Knight struggled.  This could be a long April for our caped crusader. So here’s a thought.  Warthen told The Beat that he thinks Harvey’s fastball will come back at the end of May.  Since we’re always trying to limit innings, why not have the guy stay in extended Spring and do some short starts rather than mess around in the 162 games that count.  No?

and The Mets aren’t sure if he will ever be the same!  Maybe next time everyone can calm down with The Next Seaver stuff the next time someone has a good six months.  Even Gooden wasn’t close to being The Next Seaver, and Gooden was pretty awesome for a while there – and Doc didn’t even win 200.  And that was 30 years ago.  There’s only one Franchise folks – 13 wins isn’t that.

Tim Tebow had two hits!  Then Terry said that was Tim’s last day in big league camp.  I guess the Mets only like him when he fails.

The story is the NHL Stadium Series is coming to Citi Field with Sabres vs the Rangers.

Good article about how dopey the WBC is, and how extra-dopey the tiebreakers are.  Oh and last night they played USA-Ven at 9pm eastern which is also 9pm Venezuela time.  Grow the game.

Here’s another article about how it’s supposedly growing the game in Israel except for the growing the game part. Look at these horrific game start times….all these eastern time zone countries playing late night games to grow the game.  3am starts in Europe.  At least these are nice middle of the day start times in Asia so there’s that.
