I know I’m a fake phony fan because of this, but I kind of want to do something else on Saturday night. I watch a lot of Mets during the week, and I am one of the few that twitter hangs on Friday, but Saturday night is too much.
I want to do other things. Watch a movie. Maybe even leave the house. Video games. Empty the DVR. The Saturday night games feel like homework. I would much rather have a day game I could dive in and out of between errands and soccer games.
I’m not saying you can’t or shouldn’t enjoy the game, but for me on this rainy Saturday I think it’s going to be movie night. LGM.
