As I blog, I am texting with @mediagoon about this. Obviously the most important thing is that the people of Texas are safe and that their homes and businesses not destroyed.
I do run a Mets related blog, and looking ahead, the Mets are scheduled to play at Houston this weekend. There is already talk of moving this week’s Rangers at Astros series to Houston (which makes total sense).
Looking ahead, the Rangers host the Angels next week, so Arlington would not be an available site. I’m neither an expert in Texas stadiums nor geography (is there a San Antonio baseball stadium?) – so I wonder if this series winds up being played at Citi Field. And will David Wright be playing.
I tried to see if Citi has any random carnival/concert/religious event (they do those) etc and don’t see any.
Anyway, something to ponder that the MSM will figure out sometime on Thursday. Meanwhile, I hope the best for the people of Texas.
