SLACKISH REACTION: thanks to @mediagoon for minding the store slash takeover yesterday, hopefully we can convince him to visit by more often. I spent the day asleep, then staring at some Stranger Things and then the Tom Petty documentary. No podcast this week as I told Jason I am unreliable.
I dreamt that Keith Hernandez was over my house watching TV which was fun. We had on SNY where they debut the new (in dreamland only, relax) jerseys – they were like the road swooshes, but with orange lettering. In dreamland this looked OK. As I thought about it after I woke I guess they would like these Orioles jerseys, but would say New York.
Maybe the t-shirt guys could do that look this year with their outings.
METS NEWS: Ruben Amaro Jr is the new first base coach! You know him as “wasn’t he the Phillies GM?” and “I didn’t know he coach first base for Boston.”
METS NEWS: Dave Eiland is the new pitching coach. Or did that happen when I was in a coma
METS NEWS: People tell me new hitting coach Pat Roessler was the ASSISTANT hitting coach for the Mets last year. The Mets had an assistant hitting coach????
METS NEWS: Kevin Long is the new hitting coach for the Nationals
NOT LINKING: The newspaper has a quiz asking how many Mets managers since 1980 you can name. If the answer isn’t ALL OF THEM you are dismissed.
SEARCHES: “Mets” is gummed up by French people this morning. “Matt Harvey” search seems forever gummed by Harvey Weinstein. Come on french people and unpopular people, I got a blog to run.
One more day of 90’s week. I gotta find some combination of Health & Free Time to figure out posts for the next 5 months. I want to do 00s week but I don’t think I have it in me.
