Stumbled across these in my travels.
The Mets used to have something called Old Timers’ Day which is when you would bring back old players from the Giants and Dodgers and maybe even Mets and celebrate the past. How quaint.
The Mets of course have no history to celebrate so there is no need to have such a day now that all the old Dodgers are dead or too old to play baseball for us. However back in the 60’s apparently Old Timers’ Day was accompanied by the Old Timer Gazette. Looks cool and fun.
