Memo to Baseball. Nobody wants to watch the non-stars. Please understand this. Nobody wants to watch the 5th inning guy. Nobody wants to watch the 6th inning guy. Nobody wants to watch the 7th inning guy. Nobody wants to watch the 8th inning guy.
Mets do not make your product more unwatchable than it already is.
Anyway, if you’re not named Noah Syndergaard or Jacob deGrom, you’re probably not getting the leeway to face a lineup the third time through next year. That’s the Mets’ rough plan. Will it help guys perform better and stay healthy? Hard to tell. But I can see the logic behind it.
