Mets Police Morning Laziness Few Beers In Me Edition: Fred Wilpon are you effing serious about Stanton?

SLACKISH REACTION: you should have seen me at the bar last night.  I was arguing for the correct side which is that The Last Jedi is fantastic.  One of those weirdos that doesn’t agree was trying to make points and then said to me ” and why in the future do they still….”  He said some more words but I said….

DO YOU EVEN WATCH THE MOVIES?  You don’t even know when they take place.  They have put this on screen nine times now.

Anyway you came here for Mets news.

Well my friends, lots of Mets news.  I lost my mind last night, and fortunately had a few beers in me, when I saw that Fred Wilpon is irate that the Yankees got Stanton.

Exsqueeze me?   Actually let me not lie.  I am writing this last night with those same few beers in me and I’m still out of my mind.   Fred…WTF bro.   Who the (bleep) do you think is at fault here?  Can you think of anyone who could empower the Mets to run the team the way the Yankees do?  Can you think of any one person who could unilaterally change the way the Mets spend on players?  Are you (bleeeeeeeeeeep) kidding me?

I am sure we shall tweet about this all day.

Anyway, another thing you need to read is this Times article about the ailing Ed Kranepool.   And I will once again encourage you to check the Organ Donor card on your driver’s license.  You’re dead, you don’t need maggots eating your kidneys, donate one to someone, maybe even Ed Kranepool.

Eh lets keep going with my beer fueled blogging – some people on twitter were bullshitting me that there are “Rally’s” (that was their spelling) coming.  The bullshit is that LARGE GATHERINGS of people are going to Citi Field on Opening Day but won’t actually go inside.  YEAH OK.  I call complete utter bullshit.

Anyway that concludes the beer infested portion of the laziness.  Everything below this was written Friday morning.

LET THE PAST DIE:   I see the gossipy thing involving the guy from the 1986 Mets and like most things in that category I choose not to cover it.  It’s not why my blog is here.

At a larger level, enough with the 1986 Mets already.  We celebrated them.  Some of them continue to be off-field embarrassments.   I’m tired of the topic, there is nothing new to discuss.  Time to let the past die.

SPRING DATES:  Normally things would be so quiet that this would be its own blog post and the guys at Amazing Apple Insiderized Mets BLOG Report could get all kinds of milage out of this – but I will just share with you the really-not-that-interesting information that Pitchers & Catchers report on February 12, players on the 17th.   I don’t know what you do with that info other than fill a blog post – but thanks to Fred Wilpon none of us need to do that today!

If you want to see an example of why I rip the Me Too Blogs – take a look at how many people are Me Too’ing the “Reliever says Mickey Callaway turned him around” story.  YAWN.  But they will write it because someone else did and nobody has an original thought.  Aka #TheNarrative.
