I am partially stealing from @mediagoon here who said something on the side that got me thinking….so Mets, steal this idea.
Have a Prom.
Wednesday June 6th. The Mets have a day game and an off-day the next day. Have a Prom.
Open up some space in the stadium, charge us knucklehead adults like $150 per head (couples only) and give the money to the Mets foundation.
Have a big ol’ dance and invite Mr. Met and Callie and tell a few Mets that you’re using one of your appearance call-ins. Make Keith and the mascots come.
Fans can come and dress up and act like big old kids and we can all have a fun night out, and we might even get to meet a player or two – all while raising money for charity, and making for fun press and social media. This will sell out in 2 days.
Would this not be tremendously fun for all and the start of a fun quirky Mets tradition?
