DID THE METS GET ANY NEW PLAYERS: Yes! The Mets have signed THRID BASEMAN Todd Frazier to a two year deal for $17 Million. Hey that’s a good deal. It also tells you everything you need to know about poor poor David Wright. (More on that when I have time) It also suggests Cabrera is the every day 2B.
This is a good signing as it is AN ACTUAL MAJOR LEAGUER, and provides DEPTH and isn’t expensive. Well done Mets.
Expect to hear lots and lots about how Todd is from Toms River NJ and played in the LLWS. OK we know. Enough already and he’s not even here yet.
SLACKISH REACTION: This really hurts #TheNarrative and the boycotters as the Mets continue to be one of the few non-collusion teams who actually sign Free Agents.
I actually expect the Mets to sign MORE Players in the next 48 hours and here’s why – I am super busy today and tomorrow. The Mets traditionally wait until I CAN’T BLOG and make all sorts of moves. You just watch.
