SLACKISH REACTION: So I figured out how to deal with NBC Olympics. Tape the stuff off NBCSN in the middle of the night. What you’re getting on NBC Prime is a coped down version of that.
The ‘SN version also shows sports. Last evening I caught up on the like 14 hours I had taped (if NBC is gonna delay it, I can delay it more, what’s the difference, the snowboard result had already been spoiled.) – and when I finally got around to the NBC Prime part I couldn’t believe how slow it was with features and commercials.
And they are trying so so so so hard to make us care about that brother and sister curling team, aren’t they?
Speaking of curling – did you notice that curling has a better pace of play than baseball? So much more action (seriously) – double-so if you master the 30 second skip like I do.
NOT LINKING: Holy cow, all kinds of 5 Keys To The Mets bullshit from the newspapers. This guy is important. Need a big season out of that guy. Mickey has a plan. Pitching is key. Come on, try harder guys.
CHILL AND NETFLIX: No Netflix because of the Olympics but man did I play a lot of video games. Gran Turismo continues to be my addicition but I cracked open NHL 18 and liked it a lot. Will be back on that today. Might even show up at @mediagoon’s apartment for one game one game only. I also cracked open Madden ’18 which runs smoothly but is more of the same. Meh. DIdn’t crack Fifa 18 yet, maybe today.
