Forbes says…
Queens Ballpark, LLC, the entity that runs Citi Field for Fred Wilpon and Saul Katz, the owners of the Mets, generated revenue of $163 million and net income of $97 million in 2017. The previous season the ballpark posted revenue of $168 million and net income of $75 million.
Let me remind everyone of this since the Mets Elite Media friends won’t while they eat steak sandwiches with Nas….
If you go on to read the article, thats more Net income than they made the year before. Also as we have been discussing on twitter, the Mets’ various pricing schemes (and media behavior) is that they think they have a good team, so they are giving off a GFY vibe. Fan Friendly is for those 90 loss seasons. They must really think they have it together heading into 2018. I think they have a good team, but I do think it’s possible to have a good team and be nice to fans at the same time.
Normally I’d make a crack about boycotts but as you may know from twitter, I have taken over the abandoned #metsfansunited hashtag and converted the movement to a bunch of people who root for the Mets and yell Lets Go Mets! Our first meeting is Thursday inside Citi Field. Wear blue so we know how to recognize you.
Jason Vargas in the ER with a stomach virus? Let me swap out Vargas with “your mom.” Wouldn’t you be pretty frigging panicked if I called you and said hey we took your mom to the ER?
NOT LINKING: The Post with their zinger headline to head fake you until you find out it’s Montero, Lame. Also some generic Flores and Conforto stuff zzzzz.
This tweet is really funny.
