Today the Mets play something called a Saturday Day Game. This is a throwback to yesteryear where families would take their kids to see a baseball game on a sunny Saturday afternoon. As you know, people prefer to be cold and to sit behind metal railings like this one…
…rather than see the game at all, so the Saturday Day Game has gone out of favor over time. Enjoy today’s throwback as it is the only one of the season.
SLACKISH REACTION: More soccer for me. Might try some WOR on the way home but God Help Them if that metallic wah wah is still on as I have my keyboard unlocked this week. Also, Mrs. Mets Police traced down the elusive The Last Jedi Blu-Ray so I know what I’m doing tonight. Other than, pretty quiet in Queens. Even the Mickey Mafia dialed it back.
Here’s some better pictures from inside Mikkeller NYV Brewery at Citi Field.
Poor Matt Harvey, it looks like he didn’t know the Mets didn’t have a game yesterday. He should have grabbed a magnetic schedule.
