Mets Police Morning Laziness: and the ballgame is over! and the ballgame is over!

SLACKISH REACTION:  I was having fun counting out Vargas’ no-hit bid while it lasted.  The3rd place Mets are just 2.5 games out, and wisely beating up on the Marlins.  These divisional games shall be difference makers as you shall soon read.. Mike from the Mets hooked me up again so let’s have real notes two days in a row.

The Mets have won four-straight, improving to 5-1 on this homestand and 6-2 in their last eight games…New York’s four-consecutive home wins marks the team’s longest home winning streak this season…Moved to 12-11 at home overall this season…The Mets are 12-8 in divisional matchups this season, second-best among NL East clubs (Atlanta is 19-9 within the division).

On their four-game winning streak, Mets pitching has compiled a 1.50 ERA (six earned runs/36.0 innings), 45 strikeouts and three saves while allowing 25 hits and issuing six walks…In that time, Mets starters have gone 3-0 with a 2.35 ERA (six earned runs/23.0 innings).

Jose Lobaton: Cleared waivers and accepted his assignment to Las Vegas.

And most importantly:  Time: 2:52

Gary, gary, gary, come on bro.  Did you guys catch the end of the game?  The game ended and Gare did he usual The Ballgame is Over (hey even Howie has to put stuff in books every time for some reason) – BUT WAIT, the Marlins challenged because baseball isn’t slow enough or boring enough and yep the call was correct and then Gare got in a second The Ballgame is Over.

Gare, this is EXACTLY what I am saying about forcing the phrase.  There was no reason, no emotion, no point in saying it at that time.

I get that you’re gonna get in the HOF eventually, but you’re starting to mail it in  Be a true Hall of Famer, not a longevity guy.

Happy Harvey Day!  Rip Tide vs the Pirates 7:10pm!

The Mets are interested in Jose Bautista!  Yes, a major leaguer you have heard of that they can get for the minimum.  I am surprised he isn’t here yet.

Even I have to work sometimes, today is one of those days.
