Mets Police Morning Laziness: A Learning Experience! (For myself, and for Mickey… Again!)

Well, it’s day two of five for Niko (me). I have to say, this has been a learning experience for sure, but I’m having a lot of fun, something Mickey would have a hard time saying.

SLACKISH REACTION: From the seats, this was one of the worst games I’ve been to all season, and this was my eighteenth so far. It was slow, the Mets never had a lead, and even after Wilmer’s three-run shot, there was little to no energy from the crowd.

The good news is that the concession and bathroom lines were non existent, and I was accidentally waived through security (theater) without any wand or pat-down. This is actually the second time this week this has happened to me at a ballpark (the first time was at MCU Park).

Citi Field isn’t Fort Knox.

Anyway, as I was sitting on the IRT (sorry, the 7) back to Manhattan, I bought my tickets for tomorrow’s game. Maybe I’m part of the problem.

NOT LINKING: Any one of these buyers/sellers articles that keep on popping up. We are only 0.5 games above the Marlins, who have the worst record in the National League, and Jose Reyes has become the best healthy bat in the lineup. I don’t think those are good traits for teams that make acquisitions for the pennant.

ICYMI….

Amidst all the Negativity, Mickey enjoys the Learning Experience.

Mediagoon wants to ban the shift.

Go see the Mike Piazza 9/11 Jersey at the September 11 Memorial.

Harvey’s Pitching Later Tonight, and I’m all Ready!

Side Note: Thanks to everyone who sent me gameday stuff last night! Please continue to do so tomorrow and on Wednesday, to either @NikoMetsPlus or you can send it to @MetsPolice, as I’ll be searching that handle. It’s much appreciated – LGM!
