Mets Police Morning Laziness: now the Mets want your blood

SLACKISH REACTION:  It’s nice to be back in my comfy chair doing the M.L.   I don’t really have a handle on the team right now as  haven’t caught a game in a week with the exception of listening to the bottom of the 9th yesterday in an airport in Chicago.  It seems everyone is mad and the Mets are 14.5 games back, which is below the 1978 Yankees Line, which means the season truly is over.  Take your “but in the Wild Card…” nonsense somewhere else Bobby V.

You know who IS doing well…

That’s right, Matt Harvey!  Had a fantastic start yesterday, recapped here.

People get really mad at me for pointing out that he’s pitching OK and would be the Mets #2 starter.

FUN FACT:  Since the start of the 2017 season Matt Harvey has 8 wins and Noah Syndergaard has 5.

I see people are writing Syndergaard trading articles again.  Who trades a guy who is injured and controllable?  Stop.

Hopefully your blog did not write any dopey Bonilla articles for July 1, and hopefully you resisted clicking on any.  We have another 17 years or so of those.  Sigh.

Twitter searches for Mets are gummed up by French speaking people this morning.  I don’t know why but some mornings the French use mets in a lot of sentences and mess up my crack research process.

The New York Mets will host their annual summer Blood Drive on Monday, July 2 amidst a New York Blood Center (NYBC) declared blood emergency. Fans are encouraged to help replenish the community’s blood supply by donating blood from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Foxwoods Club at Citi Field.

Donors must be 17 years of age (16 with parental permission), weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health. Fans donating blood will receive a voucher redeemable for two tickets to a select 2018 Mets home game.

WHEN:          Monday, July 2, that’s today!   11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Mr. Met will be in attendance from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

WHERE:        Foxwoods Club at Citi Field

Fans may park in Lot G off 126th Street between the Right Field Gate and Roosevelt Avenue and enter through the Hodges VIP entrance.

Snarky attention-getting article headline aside, this is a good cause and if you have the opportunity to swing by and help people you should.

While I was away I did find a Donuts Chain.  The international Donuts Chain has game – look at their Caramel innovations bottom left.  I want Caramel in the states Donuts Chain.  I already have showed this picture to the local Donuts Manager.  And I am not kidding about that last part.
