Mets Police Morning Laziness: No Development Callaway gives Rosario more time off, robs Oswalt of win

SLACKISH REACTION:  Hey remember Monday when Rosario and the Mets were off?  Remember how Rosario played Tuesday? Remember how Rosario was off Wednesday?  The Mets are off today  The 22 year old phenom will be well rested.

Speaking of being well rested…Replacement Gelbs told us on the teevee last night that Dom is having trouble adjusting to the travel and late nights.  I guess Dom was used to the Only Home Games On Cool Afternoons bus-free schedule that they play at Las Vegas.  The burden of these chartered flights and five star hotels is enormous, I could see why Rosario only plays once a week.

With the win the Mets are just 15 games under .500 after being ten over, but Mickey Callaway is still the manager.

Mickey Hodges took the starting pitcher out after 4 innings, with a 5-2 lead, and Oswalt had thrown like 65 pitches and could have gotten his first ML win.

This is the guy overseeing the rebuild….with no eye for development.  The win didn’t matter, getting Rosario going or getting Oswalt some big league confidence is what matters Mick.

Gary Apple wrecked on this HR call.

Thought this was some bad optics.  If Matt Harvey did that after a loss…

Here’s some more bad optics. Supporters of #theVirus
