SLACKISH REACTION: Oh man I am so disappointed. I thought it was Harvey Showcase Day but he isn’t pitching until tomorrow. That means tonight is just Boring Mets-Rays Day. At least Jacob deGrom gets to pitch 7 scoreless innings in a loss. It will be nice to see the Rays return to their second home, Citi Field. You may recall they moved in last season for a little bit.
There is no actual news. Adam Rubin would have headed down to a Fireflies game and found some angles, but the current beat is useless and content to write articles about hypothetical trades. The Mets don’t even have a GM guys.
It’s Marvel’s The Cuckolder t-shirt night. People are very excited. It’s too much going on on a t-shrt for anyone to actually wear this out though.
NOT LINKING: There is so little news that the top three spots on Google News are taken up by crap from the AAIMBR. Over at Mets Basement, the former Matt Cerrone led blog that has lately switched from good stuff to a format of Blogging In Mom’s Basement style articles (is Tebow better than Michael Jordan was an actual article), now they say the Mets are not trading JDG after weeks of articles telling us the Mets would. And make the desktop version the least bit usable guys. I know, mobile first.
