Things started out great for The Dark Knight, beloved by all his teammates, as the Reds started him off with a 2 run lead!
But it was a long inning for Rip Tide..and the third out was to the track. Could be a long short night for Matty Baseball.
It looked like MH would cruise the 2nd…but a hit and a walk….the Ripper is struggling.
The 3rd went better for TDK as the Cardinals went down 1-2-3, and then again in the 4th. Smooth sailing for Matt!
The 5th? Another 1-2-3 for Matty Baseball! This is different than what we saw in Queens the past few years. Matt was shaky early, but he found himself…and is sailing here now.
Matt went out for the 6th and was cruising.
But then he walked the leadoff batter and out came whoever manages the Reds. Matt was not pleased.
And that was that. Harvey Day was suddenly over.
5 innings 1 run. Maybe 2 if the RP let that guy score. I dunno. You think I am staying up past 10 to find out if the Reds bullpen let a guy score? Look it up!
Morning Update: they did not give up the run. TDK got his 5th win! 5 innings, 4 hits, 5 KS, 2 walks and the 1 run. 5-5 4.63
