SLACKISH REACTION: I continue to be simulating my interest in this team. I listened to a little while driving home from a soccer tournament, because as boring as baseball is, ONE football game is worse – doesn’t anyone do that “NFL IN Action” whiparound stuff any more? I am NOT going to miss the WAHwah signal on WOR.
Anyway I just have no interest in what the Mets are selling right now, and as the spinmeisters point out, they have been winning as of late.
The next interesting thing around here should be the meeting between Jeff Wilpon and David Wright. Until then….yah, meaningless Mets-Marlins games where we all pretend JDG has a shot at winning the Cy Young.
The only think I have for you is a well done article in Sports Illustrated about how the Mets suck at hitting at home year after year after year.
At least the Mets weren’t stupid for once (I know right???) and didn’t start JDG in the rain. Of course tonight they will start him in the rain and cold, but hey one stupid thing at a time.
