The Captain Returns: Here’s David Wright’s first Mets at bat in 2.5 years

So there we were in the 4th inning and David Wright got ready to pinch hit

But his turn did not come up.  But then came the 5th…….btw David is violating the MLB rules by wearing a non-matching uniform.

And finally…..the return…….

 

And for one minute, all was OK in the world.  I was choked up watching a TV,  I can’t imagine tomorrow.  Major props to SNY for not taking a commercial break so we could all savor David getting ready to bat.
