SLACKISH REACTION: What a fun moment. Yeah I was getting emotional in front of my TV you can make fun of me. I will be crying my eyes out at Citi Field later today (will be live-blogging). I have my burn orange DW fashion jersey that I bought along the way…..more on that later….and Junior and I will return to Citi Field to watch DW as we did many many times when he was younger.

OK as for jerseys, I somehow don’t have a proper Wright jersey. I have the burnt orange one (see below), I have several Team USA ones, All Star, the Civil Rights game…but not a normal DW jersey. Maybe the Mets will sell me something with a patch today…do it Mets…wallet will be open.
I’m not sure if Junior will fit into his old DW jersey, he’s a lot bigger now…actually he’s bigger than I am…might have to lend him my Team USA jersey.
The Mets are being annoying with details but there are unofficial reports, including an on-air Gary Cohen mention, that there will be a post-game ceremony, so don’t leave. Wright will start (again you knew that right, otherwise how did you find THIS site) and is expected to play like half the game. Gary said David will pop into the SNY booth (game on SNY and Ch11!!!) and then go back down for the ceremony. Gates open at 4:30 so fans can see BP. Only Amateurs use the Rotunda.
